Spencer Evans has been a professional pianist/clarinetist/vocalist and bandleader for 15 years. He has toured across Canada, the United States and Europe playing gigs from New Orleans to the North Pole, and Bosnia to Bermuda.

His jazz stylings are inspired by Duke Ellington, Fats Waller, Thelonius Monk, Benny Goodman, Sidney Bechet, Ray Charles, Oscar Peterson, Gene Harris and Les McCann to name a few.

Spencer plays relentlessly all over Kingston with numerous local groups including Bloom, Pico de Gallo, Ghetto Xpress, The River Cats, The Swamp Dogs and many various trios encompassing swing, blues, jive, funk, afro-cuban, reggae and rock sounds.

The talented and telepathic twin team of Jeff Cown (drums) and Seamus Cowan (acoustic bass) from Montreal are featured for this performance.
